What is Abuja Life?
Abuja Life is a free multiplayer 3D life simulator set in the real geography of Abuja. Its map is built from the actual city, with thousands of buildings and every road from the City Gate to the Central Business District, plus landmarks modeled from photos such as the National Mosque, the National Christian Centre, and Eagle Square. Day and night in the game follow the clock in Abuja. You share the city with other real players, and it is free with no download, running in a browser on your phone or computer.
How to start
You begin at the City Gate, the welcome point of the city. Create your resident, choosing male or female with local fashion options from agbada and Ankara to the corper uniform, and set where you are from, your personality, and your dream. To earn money, take short shifts at businesses owned by other players or join the FCT Civil Service. When you need a home, you can rent across real districts such as Nyanya, Lugbe, Kuje, Kubwa, Gwarinpa, or Maitama, then furnish it. Getting around means green-and-white taxis, shared cabs, keke napep, buses, or your own car, with fares that follow the real roads.
A city run by its players
What sets Abuja Life apart is how much of the city belongs to players rather than the computer. Businesses, jobs, and government are player-run: anyone can buy a real Abuja spot or start a business on a CBD plot, set prices, hire staff, and pay tax. Every week, players run for Senator of their district or FCT Minister, real players vote, and winners hold office for the week. Tax on every sale fills a central treasury with public accounts, officials who embezzle get audited and jailed by the in-game EFCC, and real estate firms that collect rent can themselves be owned by players. Because the game is new, its roadmap moves fast, with player suggestions going straight onto the board and updates landing almost daily.
