The Endless Dive Game: Clues, Rarity, and Depth

Last updated: 2026-10-15

Every trivia game asks what you know; the endless dive game asks how deep you are willing to go. Endless Trivia Dive is RandoPlay's original spin on the clue-driven dive format: seven questions a run, clues that sharpen as the clock runs down, and a rarity engine that rewards the answers other players miss. This page is the strategy companion - how the clues work, when to guess early, and how to set a depth record.

This is a RandoPlay original that runs entirely in your browser. No download, no signup, and it works on both desktop and mobile.

How the clues work

Each question opens with a category and a vague first clue. Every ten seconds a clearer clue unlocks, up to three total. Waiting is safe but expensive: the time bonus drains as the clock runs, so a guess on clue one is worth far more than the same answer on clue three. The reveal cadence is the whole game - you are trading certainty for points and depth on every question.

When to answer early

Answer on the first clue when the category plays to your strengths - a science or music question you half-know is a better early gamble than an obscure geography one. The risk is real: a wrong answer ends the dive on the spot, with no partial credit. A good rule of thumb is to guess early when you can name the answer before the second clue starts, and to wait otherwise.

How rarity decides your depth

Every question carries a hidden rarity score from 1 to 10 that models how often players actually land on that answer. Rare answers are worth roughly four times the depth of common ones - 70 metres versus 16. The clues never mention rarity, so your depth curve depends on recognising when an answer feels like one most people would miss. Those are the questions that make or break a record dive.

Training your depth record

Your best depth, best score, and dive count persist in your browser, so progress is a solo pursuit. Warm up with a full seven-question dive at a steady pace, then push aggression on categories you trust. Because the question bank rotates across more than 50 clues, memorising answers matters less than learning which categories deserve early guesses.

Frequently asked questions

What is the endless dive game?

It is a trivia format where correct answers take you deeper and one mistake ends the run. Endless Trivia Dive is RandoPlay's original browser version: seven questions per dive, thirty seconds each, and a rarity system that rewards uncommon answers with more depth.

Does waiting for more clues help?

Yes and no. Later clues are more explicit, but the points and the time bonus shrink the longer you wait. Strong players answer on clue one or two whenever they have a confident guess.

Is the game free?

Completely. It runs in your browser with no download and no account, and your records are stored locally on your device.
