How to play

One dive a day, no second chances

Every day, Krillion posts the same dive for everyone: 7 prompts. As of October 11, 2026, dive #87 was live. Each prompt gives you 25 seconds to name one thing, and you can submit only one valid answer per prompt.

The official how-to puts it simply: rare answers score big while obvious ones float. And the pick that feels clever is often one many other players also thought of โ€” so the truly rare answers are usually the ones that feel slightly left-field.

  1. Open the daily dive

Go to krillion.io each day โ€” everyone gets the same 7 prompts.

  2. Read the prompt fast

You have 25 seconds per prompt, so decide the category before you decide the answer.

  3. Type one valid answer

Your answer must be valid to score at all โ€” misspelled answers may not count, so type carefully.

  4. Sink by rarity

The rarer your valid answer, the more points it earns โ€” and every point sinks you 10 metres.

How scoring works

Rarity becomes ocean depth

Your score is visualised as a descent. Every point sinks you 10 metres, and 700 points reaches the trench floor at 7,000 m โ€” a perfect dive. Depth markers such as the Titanic wreck (about 3,800 m) show how far a strong set of answers takes you. Zone ranges below use approximate real-ocean depths.

Sunlight zone

0 โ€“ 200 m ยท 0 โ€“ 20 points

The surface. Obvious answers float here โ€” valid, but most of the field found them too.

Twilight zone

200 โ€“ 1,000 m ยท 20 โ€“ 100 points

Light begins to fade. Slightly less common picks start to separate you from the crowd.

Midnight zone

1,000 โ€“ 4,000 m ยท 100 โ€“ 400 points

No sunlight reaches here. Consistently rare answers carry a dive this deep; the Titanic wreck lies at about 3,800 m.

Abyssal zone

4,000 โ€“ 6,000 m ยท 400 โ€“ 600 points

Genuinely rare answers on most of the seven prompts.

Hadal zone

6,000 โ€“ 7,000 m ยท 600 โ€“ 700 points

The trench. 700 points ร— 10 m = 7,000 m: a perfect dive touches the trench floor.

Modes

Daily, Archive, Themed Packs and Unlimited

The official site offers more than the daily dive. If you searched for "Krillion unlimited" because one dive a day is not enough, the official Unlimited mode is the answer.

Daily Dive

The main event: 7 prompts, the same for everyone, one attempt per day. No second chances.

Archive

An official archive of past dives, so you can practise on earlier prompts you missed.

Themed Packs

Official themed prompt sets for when you want a dive built around one subject.

Unlimited

The official mode for players who want to keep diving after the daily โ€” this is what 'Krillion unlimited' searchers are looking for.

Tips for rarer answers

General advice for finding the answers other players miss โ€” no daily answers here, just strategy.

Skip the first answer that comes to mind

The obvious pick is what most of the field will type. If it arrived instantly, it probably scores like it did.

Narrow into sub-categories

Instead of the biggest example of a thing, think one level down โ€” a variant, era or niche that fewer people will reach within 25 seconds.

Use regional and historical knowledge

Answers well known in one country or one decade are invisible to most of the daily field, which is exactly what rarity rewards.

Type carefully

A rare answer only counts if it is valid โ€” misspelled answers may not count, and there is no second chance to fix one.

Watch the clock

A blank prompt scores nothing at all. If 8 seconds are left, lock in a safe valid answer instead of hunting for a perfect one.

Community slang

"One in a Krillion", explained

"Getting a Krillion" โ€” or being "one in a Krillion" โ€” is how players describe landing an extremely rare valid answer, the kind of pick almost nobody else typed. The phrase shows up in community posts on TikTok and on the r/Krillion subreddit. It is not an official scoring tier; it is the community's name for that perfect-feeling find.

The idea is comparable to the UK quiz show Pointless: obscure-but-correct beats obvious. A Krillion answer is simply the deepest possible expression of that rule.

Frequently asked questions

What is Krillion?

Krillion ("The Daily Dive") is a free daily trivia browser game at krillion.io. Every day you get 7 prompts, and rarer valid answers score more points.

How do you play Krillion?

Each day you get 7 prompts, the same for every player, with 25 seconds per prompt as shown on the official site on October 11, 2026. You type one valid answer per prompt before the timer runs out. There is one dive per day and no second chances.

How does Krillion scoring work?

Rarer valid answers score more. Your points are converted into ocean depth at 10 metres per point, so a 700-point dive reaches 7,000 metres โ€” the trench floor, a perfect dive. Obvious answers still score, but they barely sink you.

What is a Krillion or "one in a Krillion"?

Players use "one in a Krillion" to describe hitting an extremely rare valid answer โ€” the kind of pick almost nobody else thought of. It is community slang from places like TikTok, Reddit and r/Krillion, not an official scoring tier.

Is Krillion free?

Yes. Krillion is a free browser game at krillion.io โ€” no download required.

What is Krillion Unlimited?

Unlimited is one of the official modes on krillion.io alongside the daily dive, an Archive of past dives and Themed Packs. If you have finished today's dive and want more, the official Unlimited mode is where to keep playing.

Is Krillion like Pointless?

The idea is comparable to the UK quiz show Pointless: obscure-but-correct answers beat obvious ones. In Krillion, the answer that feels clever is often one many other players also thought of, so truly rare picks sink you the deepest.

Who makes Krillion?

The developer is not publicly named on the official site. The community gathers on the r/Krillion subreddit.

Is RandoPlay affiliated with Krillion?

No. This is an independent RandoPlay guide. RandoPlay is not affiliated with Krillion or its developer.
